3-month Internship Program

Position

Website Designer internship. You will be involved in real internal and external projects with an opportunity to steer the experience, receive feedback from clients, product and business teams for continuous improvement.

Program structure

Length:

3 months (equivalent to 480 hours)

Periods:

Stage 1 | Pre-professional training

Learning to use relevant or selected essential design technologies through our designed materials and practice
Complete all assessment before moving onto next stage

Training including

Office specifications and foundation
Complete Figma
User Experience (UX) design foundation in website
User Interface (UI) design foundation in website
Design specification foundation in website
WordPress foundation
Coding foundation (HTML, CSS)
Webiste design practise (last assessment of this stage)

Stage 2 | Professional practise

Applying relevant or selected design technologies on particular tasks and projects, starting to join the collaborative workflow with the other team members from Product, Design, Production, Quality Assurance, and Business
Regular assessment and reviewing
Complete at least 2 practical projects before moving onto next stage

Practising including, but not limited to

Professional website design specification
Website design practising in assigned project
Advanced WordPress practising
More coding for website (HTML, CSS)
Content development practising
Workflow practising
Collaborating with same or different departments
Regular team or project meeting
Project presentation

Stage 3 | Work ready

Being assigned a particular project to complete along with the other team members from Product, Design, Production, Quality Assurance, and Business
Final Assessment before completing the Internship Program

Included. Signed by both the Joidea Creative Pty Ltd and the applicant

Website skills – Learn to use Figma, WordPress, Ant design, Adobe AI and Google Sheet with the best practice to design common types of websites

Meaningful work – You will be involved in real internal and external projects (Landing page, IoT App website, E-commerce and more) with an opportunity to steer the experience, receive feedback from clients, product and business teams for continuous improvement

Support network – Including 1 appointed Senior product Mentor, <1 or 2> Experienced product Supervisors and product team

On-going professional development – Future and past interns are welcome to join our offline Q&A meetup (at L3, 49/330 Wattle St, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia) which is held regularly. This is an opportunity to catch up with our technical mentor, supervisors and colleagues.

Candidates we are looking for

Currently studying website / design related degree

Knowledge of UI, UX, Website, Graphic design practices

Design experiences with any design software (Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe AI, Adobe PS etc…)

Website experiences with any website builder (WordPress, Wix etc..)

Great communication skills and attention to detail

Result oriented, highly organised and positive attitude

Ability to work on your own initiative to solve problems

Bonus points for experience in Figma, WordPress or Website design.
